Beautiful creations deserve thoughtful protection.
Welcome to A Little Fancy & Whimsy Co.! Every illustration, printable, template, and digital resource in our boutique is thoughtfully created to inspire your imagination.
We love seeing our designs become part of your creative projects. To keep things fair for everyone, we’ve established two licensing options: Personal Use and Standard Commercial Use.
Please review these terms before purchasing, downloading, or using our digital products.

1. Understanding Our Licenses
When you purchase a digital product from A Little Fancy & Whimsy Co., you receive a license to use that product according to the permissions provided.
You are purchasing usage rights, not ownership of the original artwork or digital files.
Unless otherwise specified, licenses are:
- Non-exclusive
- Non-transferable
- Limited to the original purchaser or licensed business
- Valid for the specific purchased product
- Subject to the restrictions outlined below
Your license does not give you the right to resell, redistribute, sublicense, or claim ownership of the original digital resources.
Where a product includes third-party materials, additional license restrictions may apply and will be identified in the listing or accompanying files.
2. Personal Use License
Our Personal Use License is designed for customers who want to enjoy our creations for their own noncommercial projects.
What You CAN Do
You may:
- Print artwork for your home or personal workspace.
- Create personal planners, journals, calendars, or scrapbook pages.
- Make stickers, bookmarks, cards, and decorations for personal use.
- Create invitations for private, noncommercial celebrations.
- Make personalized gifts for family and friends without charging for them.
- Resize and customize artwork for your permitted personal projects.
- Print multiple copies for your own personal and household use.
What You CANNOT Do
You may not:
- Sell products featuring our artwork.
- Use our designs in products or services offered by a business.
- Create commercial merchandise or print-on-demand products.
- Distribute or share the original digital files.
- Resell modified or unmodified versions of our designs.
- Upload our artwork to digital marketplaces, stock libraries, or file-sharing websites.
- Claim the artwork as your own original creation.
Personal Use means no commercial sales, business advertising, or revenue-generating use.
3. Standard Commercial License
Our Standard Commercial License is designed for independent creators, small businesses, and designers who want to incorporate our artwork into finished commercial products.
Permitted Commercial Uses
With the appropriate Commercial License, you may:
- Create and sell up to 500 finished physical products per licensed design.
- Print designs on qualifying stationery, greeting cards, gift tags, stickers, planners, notebooks, and similar physical products.
- Create finished decorative physical products, including framed artwork.
- Use artwork in promotional materials for your own business.
- Incorporate designs into non-editable social media graphics, advertisements, and website banners.
- Create finished, non-editable client graphics under the conditions below.
- Use qualifying artwork with a print-on-demand fulfillment provider under Section 5.
Commercial products must comply with the license attached to the specific purchased design.
Commercial Production Limit
Each Standard Commercial License permits up to 500 finished physical units featuring the licensed design.
This is a cumulative production limit, not 500 units per sales platform, customer, or product category.
For example, 200 stickers, 200 greeting cards, and 100 notebooks featuring the same design count as 500 units.
For bundles, the 500-unit limit applies separately to each individual artwork or design unless the product listing specifies otherwise.
After reaching the limit, you must obtain additional written permission or an applicable extended license before producing more units.
Digital advertising impressions, website views, and social media views do not count toward the physical product limit.
4. Requirements for Commercial Products
Our artwork may be incorporated into finished products but must not be distributed as a reusable digital design resource.
For commercial digital graphics, the final artwork must be flattened or otherwise provided in a format that prevents customers from reasonably extracting and reusing our original design assets.
Minor changes such as resizing, recoloring, cropping, or adding a name do not grant ownership or remove the licensing restrictions.
For downloadable digital products, commercial resale is not permitted when our artwork is included as an extractable asset or is itself the primary digital product being sold, unless a product-specific license expressly authorizes that use.
Examples of prohibited digital products include:
- Resold clipart or illustration bundles
- Downloadable digital paper collections based on our designs
- Editable templates containing our reusable artwork
- Digital sticker packs containing our original graphic elements
- Standalone printable art files sold as digital downloads
- SVG, PNG, JPG, PDF, or similar files that redistribute the original artwork
Please contact us before creating a commercial digital product if you are unsure whether your intended use is permitted.
5. Print-on-Demand (POD)
Print-on-demand is permitted under the Standard Commercial License only for qualifying finished physical products and within the 500-unit commercial production limit.
You may use a third-party printing or fulfillment service to manufacture and ship approved physical products on your behalf.
Conditions
- You must maintain control of the product design and sales listing.
- The service must act as your printer or fulfillment provider, not as an independent reseller of our artwork.
- The original files must not be offered for public download, resale, or reuse.
- You must ensure that the service’s terms do not require granting unrestricted reuse or resale rights to the artwork.
- The design may not be submitted to public design libraries or marketplaces that allow others to reuse the artwork.
- All finished products count toward your licensed production limit.
Examples of fulfillment services may include Printful, Printify, and similar providers, provided their applicable terms and your use comply with this license.
The mention of a service does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee that every service feature is permitted.
Not permitted: Uploading our designs to a public marketplace as reusable artwork, selling standalone files, or enabling other merchants to use or reproduce our designs.
6. Client Projects
Commercial License holders may use our artwork in finished design projects created for clients.
Examples include non-editable promotional graphics, event advertisements, or finished printed materials.
The client may use the delivered finished work for the agreed purpose.
However:
- You may not transfer or sublicense our original digital assets to your client.
- You may not deliver source files containing extractable copies of our artwork.
- A client requiring continued independent access to the original design assets must purchase an appropriate license.
- You may not transfer exclusive ownership of our artwork to a client.
Client work remains subject to the same commercial production limits and restrictions.
7. Prohibited Uses Under Both Licenses
Regardless of the license purchased, you may not:
- Resell, redistribute, share, gift, or sublicense original digital files.
- Include our artwork in digital asset bundles for resale or free distribution.
- Upload the artwork to stock-image, clipart, or digital-resource libraries for redistribution.
- Create competing clipart, seamless pattern, or design-resource collections using our files.
- Claim copyright ownership or exclusive authorship of our artwork.
- Register our artwork, or a substantially similar design derived from it, as an exclusive trademark or logo.
- Use our artwork to train, fine-tune, or supply datasets for generative AI systems without our written permission.
- Provide source files to third parties except where strictly necessary for an authorized fulfillment service under this license.
- Remove ownership notices or misrepresent the source of the artwork.
Any uses outside the granted permissions require prior written authorization.
8. Canva Templates and Editable Files
Certain products may be supplied as editable Canva templates or other design files.
You may edit these templates for the purposes allowed by your purchased license.
However, purchasing an editable template does not automatically authorize you to redistribute or resell the original template, share its editable link publicly, or sell the template as your own digital product.
If a product includes Canva or other third-party content, the applicable platform’s terms and element licenses must also be followed.
Products specifically designed for resale, such as designated resale templates, will have separate written licensing terms.
9. Digital Printables and Wall Art
Personal Use License holders may print our designs for their own personal enjoyment.
Commercial Use License holders may sell qualifying finished physical print products, subject to the commercial production limit.
Reselling the original downloadable printable, PDF, poster file, or wall-art design as a digital product is not permitted without separate written authorization.
10. Freebies and Complimentary Downloads
Unless otherwise stated, products downloaded free of charge are provided under the Personal Use License only.
Receiving a free resource does not authorize commercial resale, redistribution, or sharing the original files.
11. Copyright and Intellectual Property
A Little Fancy & Whimsy Co. retains ownership of its original creative content and any rights it holds in the artwork, illustrations, designs, graphics, templates, and other resources, except where otherwise stated.
Protection and ownership are subject to applicable copyright law and any third-party rights.
Purchasing a license does not transfer ownership of the underlying creative work.
Our brand name, website content, and original visual identity may also be protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
12. License Violations
If a customer uses our products outside the permissions granted, we may take appropriate action, including:
- Requesting the removal of unauthorized material
- Suspending access to digital resources where permitted
- Terminating the affected license for a material violation
- Seeking applicable legal remedies
Where reasonably possible, we may first provide an opportunity to correct an unintentional violation.
Termination does not waive any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
13. Refunds and Digital Purchases
Digital product purchases are subject to our separate Refund & Returns Policy.
Because digital files are delivered electronically, purchases are generally final once files have been delivered or made available, except where applicable law or our policy provides otherwise.
Please review product descriptions, software compatibility, licensing options, and included file formats before purchasing.
14. Product-Specific Licensing
Some collections, software tools, courses, memberships, or specialty templates may have additional or different licensing terms.
Any product-specific exception must be clearly identified before purchase.
If terms conflict, expressly identified product-specific licensing provisions control for that product, subject to applicable law.
15. Updates to These Terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in our products, services, or licensing options.
Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
Changes will generally apply to purchases made after the updated terms take effect. Previously granted rights will not be reduced retroactively except as permitted by the original license and applicable law.
